Thanksgiving is a time for family, friends, food, and fellowship. It is also a time for rejoicing in the saving power of Jesus Christ. I was a first hand witness to His awesome life-changing power the weekend of November 20-22 when I traveled to Granbury, Texas to preach a Disciple Now at Acton Baptist Church. The theme was Living Sacrifices.
I preached Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday morning. The Spirit was thick and moved in power as spiritually hungry adults and students filled the altar during the invitation times. As I challenged the students from Romans 12 on Friday, I was reminded of the ultimate sacrifice--Jesus who willingly died for us. Based on this act of sacrifice my response should daily be to live for Him who died for me!
Saturday Night I challenged the students to be agents of LIFE using the parable of The Woman at The Well. Hearts were convicted, pride was demolished and lives were changed!!!!! Sunday morning was amazing as I challenged the church to Change the World from Exodus 33 and 34. This power packed passage did what it was set out to do which is change lives. Once again the altar was full, Jesus was lifted up and Satan was defeated. Thank you Jesus for allowing me to see You move. Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through Jesus!!!!!!!!!

What Others Are Saying
I have only known Jon for a short time, but have been Blessed by his passion for God’s Word. It is hard to find a man that will come in and preach from the Word and not just tell fun stories. There is not a better man I trust with the responsibility of preaching to my students. If you are looking for a man that loves students and one that will invest his time and knowledge into their lives, then Jon Harper is the one you need to call.

"My name is Kiel Nunn. I am the youth pastor at Huntington Baptist Church. Jon came to our first Associational Youth camp this past summer. I have been involved with several camps/retreats for youth and believe that Jon is one of the best speakers I have interacted with. There are many speakers out there who are very good at presenting the message during the big group time. Jon takes it a step further. He came in and spent time with the students building relationships and getting to know them on a more personal level. This gave him an even greater voice into the lives of our youth. In a sentence; Jon gets it! He understands what it means to be Christ incarnate. I would highly recomend him for any youth event, camp or retreat you may be having. He is really someone you can trust with your students and know that his heart is to bring souls to Christ and encourage students in their walk."
"I have never heard anyone communicate the way you did. I felt like you were talking directly to me." Kaitlynn--student from youth revival
"I have known Jon Harper for over a decade, and his love for students, adults, families, and the cause of evangelism is clear and powerful. I believe in him and pray that you will look at his ministry closely to see if he would be a good fit for your church and event. He has passion for Christ, people, and the ministry of evangelism."

"In these days as a pastor it is harder and harder to find someone you can trust who will share God's Word with passion and authority. I have used Jon in a variety of settings such as youth events, and church wide services. Therefore if you are looking for someone who will preach the word unashamedly and with conviction, then Jon is your man."
